Health and nutrition
In a yoga class recently, my instructor begins by saying that people have now started to talk more about the gut-brain connection, so she had chosen that we should do some poses that support the intestinal system. There are probably some who know more about the gut-brain connection than me, she concludes by saying. Yes, I do, as a nutrition coach, and it got me inspired to start new blog post about our health and nutrition, both physical and mental well-being.
World health
Despite phenomenal advances in modern medicine, we are becoming increasingly sick worldwide physically and mentally. Many people are concerned about their own health as we age and the country's health system.
The foods we choose to eat along with simple lifestyle changes have the power to revolutionize our health and turn well-being and happiness for people around the world. What we eat and drink has a great effect on our health and well-being. Eat whole foods, fresh fruits and vegetables, meat from organic farming. Avoid foods that are processed with many additives and a long shelf life.
Immune system
Our immune system is closely connected to our gut microbiome, 90% of our immune cells, reside in our gut lining. A healthy, balanced gut is one of the most important factors for a thriving immune system. Having a healthy gut also helps to have a healthy mood because some of our most important mood stabilizing and strengthening hormones are in the gut. – Serotonin – Keeping your gut healthy is vital for you to feel good in your life, and for a thriving aging.
Gut-brain connection
The gut-brain connection is no joke. It has a connection to stomach problems and anxiety. The gastrointestinal tract is sensitive to emotions. Anxiety, worries, sadness, depression, headage, and stress can trigger intestinal systems.
If you've "gone with your gut" to make a decision or felt "butterflies" in your stomach when you're nervous, you're getting signals from unexpected sources – Your Second Brain – This brain is your gut and the connection between digestion, mood, health, and even the way we think and talk. This understanding of the gut-brain connection equals new forms of treatment for pain and disease, and back to nature's resources for healing.
Many young people today suffer from anxiety. Even more people all over the world are being affected by stress and health problems, like diabetes, obesity, elevated blood pressure, arthritis pain, headaches and yes, the disease that we fear for ourselves and our loved ones, cancer. Today, life expectancy is longer than previous generations, but what is it worth if we must suffer with pain and illness in the last good years of life.
Healthy nutrition for body and mind and simple lifestyle changes has a major impact on our vitality, energy, strength, and quality of life.
